The story
Bamani, a 13-year-old boy entering adolescence, faces growing instability at home as his parents approach separation. His mother leaves, while his father becomes absorbed in work, leaving Bamani lonely and insecure. Looking for companionship, he turns to older youths. His new associations bring changes that threaten to alter his sense of identity, setting him on a course of experiences that affect his life.

Bamani is a 13-year-old boy going through adolescence whose parents are on the verge of separating. His mother leaves home, and his father is immersed in work. Because of his loneliness and the insecurities that have developed in him, Bamani turns to older youths for companionship. This brings about changes in him that alter his true, original identity. Just when the boy should be developing a stable personality, he crosses paths with certain people and gets involved in adventures with them, leading to events that affect his life…
