A retired actor’s comeback attempt runs into an industry that has moved on without him.
The story
Niaz Ninua was once a renowned actor, but his career declined after he retired from the film world fifteen years ago. When he finally tries to make a comeback, he discovers that the film industry has moved on without him. He goes to audition for a minor role in a young filmmaker’s debut feature. The experience wounds his ego, and he leaves indignantly, calling the role pretentious and insisting that such an old, unattractive character has nothing to do with him.
