A warrior seeks to rescue a kidnapped princess and take revenge against an evil queen who is freezing the world.
The story
From their citadel Icepeak, the evil Queen Juliana and her son Nekron send forth a wave of glaciers, forcing humanity to retreat south. Nekron sends a delegation to Firekeep, the volcano citadel of King Jarol, under the guise of requesting a surrender. In reality, the ice queen intends to abduct Jarol's daughter, Princess Teegra, to be a bride for Nekron. Teegra escapes and meets a young warrior named Larn, the sole survivor of a village destroyed by the glaciers. The two grow close before being separated when Larn is attacked by a monstrous giant squid and Nekron's subhumans recapture Teegra.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Queen Juliana and her son Nekron rule from Icepeak, using glaciers to drive humanity south. They abduct Princess Teegra from King Jarol's Firekeep as a ruse. Teegra escapes and meets Larn, but they are separated when Larn is attacked by a giant squid and Teegra is recaptured. She briefly escapes again but is captured by the witch Roleil and her son Otwa, who are killed by Nekron's subhumans. Nekron keeps Teegra as a hostage. Larn meets Darkwolf, a masked warrior seeking revenge against the royals. While Darkwolf holds off the horde, Larn finds Roleil's remains, which tell him how to find Teegra. Prince Taro arrives at Icepeak to bargain for his sister; Nekron uses magic to force the prince's delegation to kill each other. Larn infiltrates Icepeak but is incapacitated by magic; Darkwolf rescues him. They return to Firekeep, where Jarol prepares to release lava to stop the glaciers. With help from dragon hawk riders, they assault Icepeak. Darkwolf reaches Nekron and slays him, while Larn rescues Teegra. The dying Nekron's agony causes the glacier to explode, and Jarol opens the volcano's valves, obliterating Icepeak and the subhuman army. Larn and Teegra escape the cataclysm and embrace.
