The story
In St. Augustine, Louisiana, Josie is left at the altar by her fiancé Liam to pursue fame and fortune. Eight years later, Liam has become a successful country singer. After a series of events, he returns to his hometown to attend a friend's funeral and encounters Josie. He soon learns that she has a seven-year-old daughter, Billy, who is his child. Liam must navigate his complicated past and his new role as a father while trying to win back the woman he once abandoned for his career.

In St. Augustine, Louisiana, Josie is left at the altar by her fiancé Liam to pursue fame and fortune. Eight years later, Liam is a successful country singer. After a concert in New Orleans, Liam finds a damaged phone and later learns that his childhood best friend, Mason, has died. He returns to St. Augustine for the funeral and encounters Josie. He discovers she has a seven-year-old daughter, Billy, who is his. Liam begins spending time with Billy, and they bond over music. He eventually takes Josie on a date in New Orleans, publicly acknowledging her. After a series of emotional hurdles and a realization about his own past grief regarding his mother's death, Liam realizes he left Josie out of fear. He eventually returns to St. Augustine to reconcile with her. The film ends with Liam and Josie getting married and him performing with Billy at her school talent show and on his tour.
