Full plot (contains spoilers)
The three sisters, Anne, Iris, and Marianne, are confronted by their past on the birthday of their alcoholic mother. Anne had left her hometown many years earlier, leaving her sisters Iris and Marianne behind. Marianne has a family of her own, while Iris still lives with their mother. When Anne, who tried to make it as a rock singer, falls in love with her sister Marianne’s husband, the first conflicts arise between the sisters. Eventually, Iris takes over the birthday preparations because Marianne is so furious that she can no longer look forward to spending the day with their mother.
