A woman's disillusionment with online dating leads her into a terrifying trap involving a man who harvests human meat.
The story
Noa, a woman from Portland, is increasingly disillusioned with online dating and the crass men she encounters. After meeting a man named Steve at a supermarket, they begin dating. Despite warnings from her best friend Mollie, Noa agrees to go on a weekend getaway to a surprise destination. She spends the evening at Steve's luxury home, but he drugs her drink, causing her to collapse. Noa awakens in captivity, chained to the floor, where she learns that Steve is a butcher of human meat who sells it to wealthy cannibals. She is held alongside another captive, Penny, and must find a way to escape his clutches.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Noa, a woman from Portland, is disillusioned with online dating until she meets Steve. After several dates, she agrees to a weekend getaway at his luxury home, where he drugs her. She awakens chained to the floor and learns Steve is a butcher of human meat who sells it to wealthy cannibals. She meets another captive, Penny, and learns of a third, insane prisoner named Melissa. While Noa attempts to escape, her friend Mollie begins investigating her disappearance with a bartender named Paul. Mollie discovers Steve's real identity as Brendan, a married man. Meanwhile, Noa pretends to be curious about human meat to gain favor with Brendan. During a formal dinner, she discovers a collection of victims' belongings. Noa eventually lures Brendan into a physical confrontation, injuring him. She helps Penny and Mollie (who has been captured by Brendan) escape. In the woods, Noa, Mollie, and Penny confront Brendan; Noa shoots him dead. They are then confronted by Brendan's wife, Ann, and they ultimately defeat her. The film ends with a mid-credits scene showing five of Brendan's clients at a table with human meat.
