Full plot (contains spoilers)

In 1980, Jason Voorhees' mother is killed at Camp Crystal Lake. Twenty-eight years later, a group of friends is attacked by Jason while searching for marijuana. One girl, Whitney, is captured. Her brother, Clay, arrives at the lake to find her, accompanied by his friend Jenna. While searching the grounds, they witness Jason's violence and eventually find Whitney trapped in an underground lair. They manage to free her and escape, but during the escape, Jenna is killed. In a final confrontation in a barn, Whitney pretends to be Jason's mother to distract him, allowing them to subdue him. They discard his body in the lake, but Jason reappears one last time, killing Whitney.
