The story
Gail Daughtry, a hairdresser in small-town Kansas, and her fiancé, Tom, are two weeks away from their wedding when they discuss their "celebrity sex pass"—the one celebrity they could sleep with without violating their relationship. After a misunderstanding involving a celebrity and a change of heart from Tom, Gail leaves for a hairdressing convention in Los Angeles with her friend Otto. In Los Angeles, Gail accidentally swaps briefcases with a criminal named Ludovica. Now, Gail must navigate a world of high-stakes espionage and a quest to find a specific celebrity to save her relationship, all while being pursued by henchmen seeking the mysterious contents of the swapped case.

Gail Daughtry, a hairdresser in small-town Kansas, and her fiancé, Tom, are two weeks away from their wedding when they discuss their "celebrity sex pass." After a misunderstanding involving Jon Hamm, Gail leaves for a hairdressing convention in Los Angeles with her friend Otto. There, she swaps briefcases with a criminal named Ludovica. The briefcase contains classified government documents. Gail, Otto, an aspiring talent agent named Caleb, a paparazzo named Vincent, and actor John Slattery team up to find Jon Hamm at the Chateau Marmont. After a series of chases and a confrontation where Gail kills Ludovica, the group meets Jon Hamm. Although he rejects their screenplay, he rewards their determination and honors Gail's celebrity pass by sleeping with her. Gail eventually returns to Kansas but decides to end her relationship with Tom after a proposal from Jon Hamm, choosing to keep things casual as they fly away together.
