Full plot (contains spoilers)
Twenty-six years after the first film, Dexter Reed's entrepreneurial dreams fail when a flame-retardant spray burns down his house. He moves in with Ed, who now owns Good Burger. Dexter returns to work there, while Ed faces pressure from MegaCorp's lawyer, Cecil McNevin, to franchise the restaurant. After signing a contract they didn't fully read, they discover MegaCorp plans to shut down the flagship store and fire the staff. Dexter and Ed confront the CEO, Katt Bozwell, who wants to rebrand the restaurant as Mega Good Burger using robot versions of Ed. To stop the launch, the employees infiltrate MegaCorp headquarters. While Dexter and Ed are separated from Mia, a computer expert, they reach the control room. Dexter saves Mia, and Ed reprograms the robots to go haywire during the national television demonstration. In the aftermath, MegaCorp is shut down, Ed regains ownership, and Dexter is reconciled with his sister. Finally, Ed and his son Ed 2 figure out how to make permanent ice, which they sell to Mark Cuban for $10,000,000.00.
