A football hooligan and his long-lost brother, an MI6 agent, must team up to stop a global plot.
The story
Kyle Alan "Nobby" Butcher, an alcoholic football hooligan in Grimsby, is separated from his younger brother, Sebastian, for 28 years. While Nobby lives a rough life with his large family, Sebastian has become a top agent for MI6. When Nobby's friends learn that Sebastian will be attending a high-profile benefit event called WorldCure, they convince Nobby to go and reconnect with his brother. However, the reunion takes a dangerous turn when they discover a plot involving a potential assassination and a mysterious virus, forcing the two very different brothers to work together to navigate a world of international espionage.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After reuniting at the WorldCure event, Nobby and Sebastian are caught in the crossfire of a plot involving a hitman and a deadly virus. During a chaotic confrontation, Nobby accidentally causes a bystander to be infected with AIDS. The brothers go on the run, eventually hiding in Nobby's home in Grimsby before fleeing to a South African lodge. There, they face off against agents and a conspiracy involving a virus called WorldCure. The plot escalates to a football cup final in Chile, where the syndicate plans to release the virus. After a series of absurd events—including hiding inside an elephant's vagina and Nobby assuming Sebastian's identity—the brothers ultimately stop the mastermind, Rhonda. They are presumed dead but survive, eventually receiving new identities. The film ends with a post-credits scene where Nobby kills a man to 'leave no witnesses'.
