Full plot (contains spoilers)

Six years after escaping Haddonfield's police station, Michael Myers and his niece Jamie Lloyd are abducted by a cult and held in a medical facility. By Halloween Eve, Jamie gives birth and escapes with her baby in a stolen truck, pursued by Michael. Meanwhile, a retired Dr. Loomis is visited by Dr. Terence Wynn, who asks him to return to Smith's Grove Sanitarium. They overhear Jamie's plea for help on the radio. In Haddonfield, the old Myers house is owned by John and Debra Strode, whose children Kara and Tim live there with six-year-old Danny, who is tormented by visions of the 'Man in Black.' Tommy Doyle, a recluse obsessed with Michael, finds the baby (Steven) and meets Loomis. Michael kills Debra with an ax. Tommy takes Kara and Danny to safety, explaining that Michael is under the 'Curse of Thorn,' a Druid curse driving him to kill his bloodline. Michael kills John and a shock jock, then pursues Kara and Danny. Mrs. Blankenship tells Kara she babysat Michael and that Danny hears the same voice. The Man in Black (Dr. Wynn) beckons Danny to the Myers house, but Kara rescues him. Cult members abduct Kara, Danny, and Steven, taking them to Smith's Grove. Loomis and Tommy confront Wynn at the sanitarium. Wynn reveals the staff has been studying 'pure evil' to control it, with Steven being the result. Michael appears, turns against the cult, and kills them. Tommy frees Kara as Michael pursues them through a laboratory of failed clones. Tommy injects Michael with corrosive liquid and beats him unconscious. Tommy, Kara, and the children flee while Loomis stays behind to attend to 'business.' The film ends with Michael's mask on the floor and Loomis screaming in the background.
