Halt mich fest! (2000)

Freddi, a trumpet player, desperately gets in touch after years with his former bandmates from their band, “Lovely Rita and her Johnny Guitars,” but they do not take him seriously. Shortly afterward, he takes his own life. At the funeral, the band’s former members—the rock singer Rita, guitarist Johnny, and keyboardist Karl—come together again. They are now plagued by guilt because they did not take Freddi’s cry for help seriously. The three musicians decide to reactivate the band in his honor. They eventually give their first performance at a marksmen’s festival on the Moselle.
