Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a nightmare involving a murder and the appearance of the Dark Mark, Harry attends the Quidditch World Cup where Death Eaters attack. At Hogwarts, Dumbledore announces the Triwizard Tournament. Harry is mysteriously selected as a fourth champion, leading to suspicion from his peers. The tournament consists of three tasks: a dragon encounter, a rescue in the Black Lake, and a magical maze. During the final task, Harry and Cedric Diggory reach the Triwizard Cup, which acts as a Portkey to a graveyard. There, Pettigrew kills Cedric and uses Harry's blood to resurrect Voldemort. Voldemort attempts to kill Harry, but the appearance of ghosts allows Harry to escape back to Hogwarts with Cedric's body. Harry later discovers that Alastor Moody was an impostor (Barty Crouch Jr.) and that the real Moody is hidden. The film ends with Dumbledore confirming Voldemort's return while the schools prepare to depart.
