Heiraten ist nichts für Feiglinge (2016)

After Markus unexpectedly leaves his girlfriend Kathi, Kathi now needs a date for her friend Caro’s wedding to Jan. So she tries to find someone suitable on an online dating site, but it isn’t easy, since the candidates never tell the whole truth about themselves. The men who show up for the dates are always nothing like the people they described in their profiles. At the same time, Kathi is supposed to help prepare the wedding with Jan’s best man, the snobbish Theo. Theo is actually in a relationship with Brith, yet he communicates anonymously with Kathi through an online platform, and the two grow closer. When Kathi discovers that her chat partner is Theo, she abruptly cuts off contact. Theo is puzzled by this because, unlike Kathi, he still doesn’t know who he has been chatting with online. She reveals the secret once they have finished working together on the wedding preparations. Theo needs some time to take this in and withdraws. He tries to explain to Kathi that he has been unhappy in his relationship for some time, and that this is why he sought a distraction elsewhere online and anonymously. On Caro and Jan’s wedding day, Theo keeps seeking Kathi’s company, and realizes that he has to make a decision. He breaks up with his girlfriend that same day and talks things through with Kathi. She asks him to be honest, and they decide to give things a try together.
