The story

Mona encourages her two friends Millie and Peggy, both newcomers to the city, to accompany her "walking down Broadway" to meet men. They encounter two young men on the street and pair off, though not with the ones they prefer. Millie, a homely, eccentric woman who likes to talk about death, immediately casts her eye on Jimmy, a shy Midwesterner, but Jimmy prefers Peggy, a sweet, innocent girl from the South.
