The story
In 1989, high-school student Kenji reunites with Yasuo, a one-armed yakuza recently released on parole. Yasuo leaves Kenji his bag and younger sister while setting out to search for his former boss. Kenji heads to the drive-in where they had arranged to meet.

In 1989, Kenji, a high school student, is reunited with Yasuo, a one-armed yakuza who has been released on parole. Yasuo refuses to believe his former senior in the gang when he says that the boss has died and the gang has disbanded, and kills him. Yasuo entrusts Kenji with his bag and his younger sister, then sets off to search for the boss. Kenji heads to the drive-in where he and Yasuo had arranged to meet, but learns that his father, who had been admitted to a psychiatric hospital, has attempted suicide, and Kenji causes trouble too.
