Hit Mom - Mörderische Weihnachten (2017)

Hanni works as a cleaner to support her small family. Her husband, Falk, has been looking for work for a year and a half, and their son spends most of his time in front of the television. One evening, she happens to see a neighbor behaving very strangely outside their apartment building. Curious, she follows him and just manages to stop him from attacking an elderly woman in the park with an axe. The neighbor then kidnaps Hanni to get rid of the nosy witness. Hanni manages to fight back, however, and her kidnapper is badly injured and has to be taken to the hospital. Hanni wants to warn the elderly woman and goes to her apartment. But the woman sees Hanni as a threat, and they end up fighting. The woman falls awkwardly and suffers a fatal injury. Hanni stages it as a cleaning accident. That evening, a detective rings Hanni’s doorbell and takes her to the station. He has evidence linking her to the injured kidnapper and the elderly woman’s death. But he does not intend to arrest her. Since he himself is the one who hired the killer, and his murderous associate Sascha is in the hospital because of Hanni, he urgently needs a replacement. He wants Hanni to take the job, but she refuses. The detective blackmails her with the incidents, however. Now, given her family’s financial difficulties, Hanni also sees an opportunity to improve her financial situation. But the new “job” has its pitfalls. Hanni fails several times to carry out her first assignment; only another stroke of luck ends up killing the target. Hanni offers her services to a couple she cleans for because they are being terrorized by a ruthless neighbor. But that, too, goes differently than planned. When Hanni is assigned to kill a young woman who wants to testify against her rapist, she has qualms. With the help of her cleaning crew, she protects the woman and together they take revenge on the perpetrator. By this time, Sascha has escaped from the hospital and comes after Hanni to kill her. Once again, he gets the worst of it. Together with the cleaning crew, they decide to get revenge on the detective. They steal from the evidence room the items that could link Hanni to the incidents, and leave the detective to Sascha. Among the evidence, they find a lot of money the detective had stashed away. Hanni shares it with Sascha and the other cleaners. Hanni reconciles with her husband, and the two buy back the house they used to live in. Sascha joins the cleaning crew.
