Full plot (contains spoilers)

Olga returns to her hometown to live with her parents again. She once left her familiar surroundings because she did not want to take over her parents’ farm, which is now owned by her former fiancé, Nico. While Olga’s mother, Lilo, is happy to have her daughter and grandson Theo with her, Holger says nothing at all and treats his daughter with reserve. He discovers that his daughter is homeless and in debt. Olga returned to her parents only because the youth welfare office required proof that she had a permanent address. Back home, she renews her friendship with her former fiancé, who is now newly engaged to her friend Anne. Her former classmate, Sören, now the village’s Protestant pastor, has also taken an interest in Olga. Holger had sold the farm to Nico, who had promised to keep it going in Holger’s spirit. Instead, Nico sells the fields as building land.
