A young boy must defend his new home from a group of thieves seeking a stolen masterpiece.

The story

The Baxter family moves from California to Rockland, Maine, during the Christmas season. Ten-year-old Finn and his older sister Alexis are tech-obsessed children who isolate themselves from their parents. After Finn learns a local legend about a haunted house, he becomes paranoid. While the parents are out shopping, a group of thieves attempts to break into the home to steal a valuable painting. The thieves flee when they find the house occupied. Later, the parents leave for a party, leaving the siblings behind. The thieves plan to return, unaware that Finn and Alexis have discovered a secret room containing the painting.
