The story
Following a devastating nuclear strike on Los Angeles and a subsequent collapse of the national power grid, a wealthy man named Ian Ross retreats to his fortified homestead in the Rocky Mountains. To ensure their safety during the social breakdown, Ian has recruited a team of former special forces soldiers led by Jeff Eriksson to secure the compound. As the world outside descends into chaos, the residents of the homestead must manage their supplies and defend their perimeter. However, the arrival of uninvited guests and the pressure of the growing crisis force the community to confront difficult decisions regarding their leadership and the ethics of their survival.

Following a nuclear strike on Los Angeles and a collapse of the power grid, Ian Ross retreats to his mountain homestead, which is guarded by a special forces team led by Jeff Eriksson. While the team secures the perimeter and supplies, the community faces internal and external pressures. Conflict arises when a government official, Blake Masterson, attempts to seize control of the property. Tensions rise between Ian and Jeff over the treatment of refugees and the distribution of supplies. After a fatal confrontation with an intruder and a violent standoff with a local SWAT team, Ian is left critically wounded and in a coma. In the aftermath, Jenna Ross allows more refugees into the compound, whose diverse skills eventually improve the homestead's self-sufficiency and sustainability.
