The story
In Bakersfield, California, private investigator Honey O'Donahue learns that Mia Novotny has been found dead in a wrecked car in Antelope Canyon. Mia had phoned Honey, afraid and unable to go to the police, and they were to meet the next day. Mia was stabbed and placed in the car before it crashed. Marty Metakawich, a homicide detective, is at the scene. He asks Honey for a date and thinks she is joking when she says she likes girls. Honey's investigation leads her to a local church and a mysterious organization, while she simultaneously tries to navigate personal connections and a search for her niece, Corinne, who has gone missing.

In Bakersfield, California, private investigator Honey O'Donahue investigates the death of Mia Novotny, who was found in a wrecked car. Honey discovers a connection to the Four-Way Temple, a place run by a man named Drew Devlin who operates a narcotics ring. While dealing with her own complicated life, Honey encounters a policewoman named MG and a missing teenager, Cor1inne. The investigation leads Honey to a confrontation with the temple's leadership. After a series of tense encounters, Honey discovers that MG has kidnapped Corinne and intends to kill her. In a violent confrontation, Honey is stabbed but manages to disarm and shoot MG before passing out. She eventually wakes up in an ambulance with Corinne and her sister Heidi. The film ends with Honey and a detective, Marty, acknowledging the carnage of the night, while Honey maintains her preference for women.
