Full plot (contains spoilers)
Nicholas Angel, a high-achieving police officer, is reassigned to the rural town of Sandford. He is joined by his partner, Danny Butterman. After a series of suspicious deaths—including a car crash and a gas explosion—Angel begins to suspect a conspiracy linked to local property deals. He discovers that the local Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (NWA) has been staging these deaths as accidents to ensure the town wins 'Village of the Year.' The NWA is led by Frank Butterman, who is determined to secure the title for his late wife's memory. After a tense standoff and a shootout at a local supermarket, the officers confront the NWA members. Following a high-speed chase and a final confrontation at a model village, the culprits are apprehended. The film ends with Angel and Butterman remaining in Sandford, where they are eventually promoted for their work.
