Hubert und Staller - Unter Wölfen (2016)

Because it has the highest case-clearance rate in Bavaria, the entire station is invited to Munich and honored by Police President Kröpf. Hubert and Staller, however, do not make it to the ceremony in time because Staller has taken a wrong turn. On their way to police headquarters, they pass a house where Anna Schmitt is trying to take her own life. She is the partner of Deputy Police President Markus Wieser. Meanwhile, the police president is trying to enlist the Wolfratshausen station in the fight against Munich’s drug scene. He wants the Wolfratshausen officers to help him find the suspected black sheep within the police force. To clarify a few more details, Police President Kröpf invites Girwidz to breakfast, but Girwidz finds him dead. Although Hubert, Staller, and Munich detectives Kurz and Eder cannot agree on who should take charge of the investigation, they agree that the killer must have been a burglar. Girwidz, however, suspects that the black sheep was the killer and lets Hubert and Staller in on Kröpf’s suspicions. Then Dr. Licht finds a small bag of drugs in Kröpf’s clothing, and everyone assumes the killer came from the drug scene and had declared war on Kröpf. Hubert and Staller, however, keep the discovery from their Munich colleagues and try to investigate at Stefan Wilde’s club, where Kröpf said drugs were being sold. But the new police president, Wieser, is now also under suspicion, as are the Munich officers. Disguised in drag, Yazid has to help solve the case and hits the mark. One of the Munich officers is killed with Hubert’s service weapon, which had been stolen from him at Anna Schmidt’s house. Staller has to prove his colleague’s innocence while Hubert conducts his own investigation from pretrial detention.
