Hui Buh und das Hexenschloss (2022)

Fourteen years after King Julius moved into Castle Burgeck with Hui Buh, he is suffering from his separation from his great love, Konstanzia, and from financial problems. Hui Buh is still not taken seriously as a ghost, which weighs heavily on him. One day, his niece, the young witch Ophelia, appears at the castle door. She has the powerful, talking spellbook Necronomicon with her, and is being pursued because of it by the evil witch Erla, who has already kidnapped Ophelia’s mother, Maria, in order to get her hands on the Necronomicon. Hui Buh sees the girl’s arrival as a chance to finally become a truly frightening ghost. Julius flies to the witches with Ophelia and Hui Buh. After Hui Buh nearly gives in to the temptation of the Necronomicon, he accidentally cuts off the fuel supply, and the three of them make a crash landing. When they arrive in a village, they are warmly welcomed at the inn. The innkeeper lays a protective circle of salt around the windows to keep the evil witch Erla from getting in. When one of Ophelia’s puppies escapes, Hui Buh once again cannot resist the Necronomicon’s temptation, and the protective circle is damaged. As a result, Erla enters the room and kidnaps Ophelia along with her suitcase, unaware that the Necronomicon is in Hui Buh’s possession. Julius and Hui Buh consult the Gingerbread Witch, who gives Julius a cookie to eat that makes him look like a witch. Julius and Hui Buh enter Erla’s castle, while the Gingerbread Witch stands guard. Maria and Ophelia are locked in a dungeon, while the other good witches have been turned into pigs and shut in a pen. When Julius and Hui Buh are nearly caught, Charles comes to their aid. The five of them set out to free the witches who have been turned into pigs, with Ophelia using a camouflage spell. It fails because of the barking of the escaped puppy. Hui Buh manages to get hold of the book and negotiates with it to reverse all evil spells, leaving the evil witches powerless. In the end, Hui Buh markets himself as a funny ghost, bringing numerous guests to Burgeck, and Konstanzia returns to Julius.
