A novelist seeking solitude in a remote cabin becomes the target of a brutal assault and must fight back against her attackers.
The story
Novelist Jennifer Hills travels from New York City to Louisiana to work on her next book in privacy. After a series of interactions with a local gas station attendant and a plumber, she settles into a remote cabin. However, the men she encountered become convinced she is 'snobbish' and decide to target her. That night, they sneak into her cabin to assault her. After a harrowing escape into the woods and a confrontation with local authorities, Jennifer finds herself in a desperate struggle for survival against those who sought to harm her.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After being gang raped by four men—including a stuttering man with an intellectual disability—and nearly killed by a skeptical sheriff, Jennifer Hills escapes into a river. She begins a systematic and brutal campaign of revenge against her attackers. She stalks them, learns their lives, and executes them one by one in gruesome ways: she traps and mutilates Stanley, drowns and burns Andy, and uses tools to mutilate and kill Johnny. She also confronts the sheriff, eventually leading to a final confrontation where she lures him into a trap. The film concludes with her successfully eliminating all those who harmed her, including the sheriff and the man with the disability.
