Full plot (contains spoilers)

Juliane Schubert is a successful management consultant. In the middle of the night, however, a special operations unit storms her apartment, and she is taken away like a hardened criminal. Detectives Theissen and Hinrichs explain that cars and apartments were rented using Schubert’s credit card to prepare for a terrorist attack. Schubert knows nothing about it and cannot explain what happened. It turns out that an unknown person has stolen her identity. As a result, Schubert is no longer allowed to use a mobile phone or the internet; her phone and email account are monitored, her apartment is bugged, and the domestic intelligence service keeps her under surveillance. She is traumatized by the night the police woke her from her sleep. Her company can no longer keep her on, either, and despite her many years of service, she is fired. She decides to find the culprit on her own, putting herself in great danger in the process.
