To fulfill a task for the Queen, Alys must travel into the dangerous landscape to find a beast and claim its power. She hires a hunter named Boyce to assist her in this quest. Together, they venture into the wilderness, facing enemies and monsters while navigating a world where the rules of the old world have crumbled into a lawless, uncivilized wasteland.
