The Incredibles must navigate the complexities of family life while attempting to restore public trust in superheroes.
The story
Following the events of the first film, the Incredibles face a world where superheroes are no longer welcomed. After a public incident leads to the government shutting down the Superhero Relocation Program, the Parr family must navigate a new reality. While Helen (Elastigirl) takes on a series of high-profile missions to regain public trust, Bob (Mr. Incredible) struggles with the demands of being a stay-at-home parent. As the family deals with the challenges of their secret identities and the chaos of their children's growing powers, they must find a way to balance their roles as heroes and parents in a society that has turned its back on them.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After the government shuts down the Superhero Relocation Program following a battle with the Underminer, the Incredibles are forced into hiding. Helen accepts a series of missions from the Deavor siblings to regain public trust, while Bob becomes a stay-at-home father. However, a conspiracy emerges: Evelyn Deavor is actually the villainous Screenslaver. She uses hypnotic technology to brainwash supers and plans to sabotage a high-profile summit to keep them outlawed. She lures Bob, Helen, and Lucius into a trap, where they are forced to broadcast villainous speeches while under mind control. Their children, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack, escape and stow away on the villain's yacht. They eventually reach the ship and rescue their parents by removing the hypnotic goggles. After the threat is neutralized, the supers regain their legal status. The film ends with the family and Violet's love interest, Tony, heading to a movie date, only to be interrupted by a police chase where the family dons their masks to help.
