The story
In Southern France, CW—who has started a new life after escaping Thailand—celebrates her first anniversary with her girlfriend, Diane. CW becomes frustrated by an influencer named Charlotte, who constantly complains and demands their attention. In a fit of frustration, CW takes Charlotte to a secluded landmark and pushes her to her death, subsequently impersonating Charlotte on social media. However, Diane becomes suspicious of CW's behavior after finding fake passports and links to previous murders. When Diane calls CW a psychopath, an infuriated CW strangles her to death and escapes to Bali.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After murdering her girlfriend Diane and escaping to Bali, CW uses Diane's voice to create a personal A.I. assistant to help automate her deepfakes and crimes. Meanwhile, influencer Madison White, who escaped CW the previous year, learns that CW is in Bali and tracks her down. In Bali, both Madison and CW encounter Jacob, an alt-right streamer. They manipulate Jacob against each other. CW hacks Jacob's computer to post a sex tape featuring his girlfriend Ariana, who kills herself before Madison arrives. After a physical fight where Jacob is stabbed and CW is knocked out, Madison uses CW's phone to find her hideout, enlisting AI-Diane to help execute her revenge. When Jacob discovers the sex tape was posted, he is killed by Ariana (or later by Madison/CW contextually), and Madison broadcasts the murder to his followers. When Jacob's best friend arrives, CW snaps and kills him, maniacally chasing down everyone else as the credits roll.
