The story
Following the death of Archer Monroe, the patriarch of a powerful political family, his estate is divided among his family members. His wife, Catherine, and his children, William and Lauren, are left to deal with the fallout of his passing. During the distribution of the estate, the family attorney, Harold Thewlis, delivers a mysterious message from Archer to his daughter, Lauren. This message directs her to an underground bunker on the family property, where she discovers a hidden truth about her father's past and a secret inheritance that poses a significant threat to the family's status and safety.

After the death of Archer Monroe, his estate is divided among his wife Catherine, his son William, and his daughter Lauren. The family attorney, Harold Thewlis, gives Lauren a message from her father directing her to an underground bunker. There, she finds Morgan Warner, a man Archer had imprisoned for years to hide a crime they committed together. Morgan reveals evidence of Archer's corruption and his secret life. Lauren eventually frees Morgan and arranges for him to flee. However, a man named Carson—who is actually the man Morgan was mistaken for or a related figure—is revealed to have been the one Archer actually kept hidden. It is revealed that Carson drugged and raped Catherine decades ago, and Archer had intended to kill him but imprisoned him instead. After a series of revelations regarding Archer's corruption and the truth of his death, Lauren and Catherine confront Carson in the bunker. During a struggle, Catherine shoots and kills him. The two women then set the bunker on fire and flee.
