The story

Following his separation from Mia, Daniel is left with heartbreak and self-doubt. Mia suggests group therapy to help him get over the breakup, but his best friend Thomas, a cynical womanizer, sees it as a chance to meet women he considers psychologically vulnerable. The two begin sneaking into family constellation sessions and group therapy under false identities. What they intend as an amusing game and an opportunity to meet women becomes the situation’s initial tension: they are attending therapy sessions while hiding who they really are.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Daniel is suffering from heartbreak and self-doubt following his separation from his girlfriend, Mia. To help him get over the breakup, Mia advises him to attend group therapy. His best friend Thomas, a cynical womanizer, sees the idea as an opportunity to meet women in a psychologically “vulnerable” state. Together, the two begin sneaking into family constellation sessions and group therapy under false identities. What is initially meant as an amusing game and the perfect opportunity to meet women soon gets out of control: Daniel genuinely falls in love with Bernadette, one of the participants, while the clever and self-confident Sylvie sees through Thomas. Their false identities, their self-deprecating way of dealing with their own weaknesses, and the genuine feelings that develop lead to a conflict between playing games and being honest. Daniel learns the value of honesty and genuine affection, while Thomas is confronted with his superficial attitude.
