As they struggle to understand their predicament, they must navigate the psychological toll of their situation while trying to find a way off the road.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a group of friends—James, Day, Fisher, and Tyler—turn onto a road that appears to go on indefinitely, they are attacked by a horde of people from the woods. They soon realize they are trapped in a loop where they feel neither tired nor hungry, but their injuries do not heal. They discover they have 90 seconds of safety before being swarmed again. As they travel hundreds of thousands of miles, the group fractures: Tyler stays in the woods, while Day and Fisher settle into a routine of coping with their situation. James remains obsessed with finding an exit. Eventually, James reaches the end of the road—a circle of asphalt—and experiences a breakdown before deciding to drive back, eventually finding a new companion to talk to about the same questions they once shared.
