A young woman must navigate the terrifying consequences of a supernatural entity passed to her through a sexual encounter.

The story

After a sexual encounter with her boyfriend, Jay Height finds herself pursued by a supernatural entity that can take the appearance of any person. The entity moves at a walking pace but is relentless, and the only way to pass the curse on is through sexual contact. As the entity closes in, Jay must navigate a growing sense of dread while trying to understand the rules of the entity's pursuit. With the help of her friends and a neighbor, she attempts to find a way to escape the looming threat that only she and those previously afflicted can see.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After a sexual encounter with her boyfriend, Jay Height is told she has been 'passed' a supernatural entity that follows her at a walking pace, taking any form, and will kill her before passing it to the next person. After her boyfriend disappears, Jay and her friends—Kelly, Paul, and Yara—attempt to find a way to survive. They travel to a lake house where the entity manifests as Yara, and later, Jay tries to stall for time by having sex with a neighbor, Greg. The entity eventually manifests as Greg's mother and kills him. In a final desperate move, the group lures the entity into a pool where it is submerged. After the entity is defeated, Jay and Paul share a moment of intimacy while the entity is still present in the distance.
