The story
Jack Sadelstein is a successful advertising executive living in Los Angeles with his wife Erin and two children. His life is disrupted when his unemployed twin sister, Jill, arrives for a Thanksgiving visit and announces she intends to stay until the end of Hanukkah. While Jack is tasked with securing Al Pacino for a Dunkin' Donuts commercial, Jill's obnoxious behavior causes significant embarrassment. After a series of mishaps involving a pet cockatoo and various public outings, Jack attempts to help Jill find a romantic partner through online dating, leading to further comedic complications for both siblings.

Growing up in the Bronx, Jill repeatedly tried to capture the attention of her gifted twin brother Jack. As adults, Jack is a successful executive in Los Angeles, while Jill lives alone in their childhood home. Jill arrives for Thanksgiving and stays through Hanukkah, causing chaos for Jack's family. After Jill flees into the woods, Jack tries to help her find love via Craigslist, leading to a disastrous date with a man named 'Funbucket.' Meanwhile, Jack struggles to cast Al Pacino in a commercial; Pacino eventually becomes infatuated with Jill, leading to a series of dates that end in disaster, including the destruction of an Oscar statuette and a failed cruise where Jack disguises himself as Jill to flirt with Pacino. Jill eventually discovers her home has been foreclosed on. She reconciles with Jack and his family, meets her former bully, and eventually starts a relationship with Felipe, Jack's Mexican gardener. Finally, Pacino disapproves of the commercial Jack produced and instructs him to destroy it.
