Jeudi on chantera comme dimanche (1967)

Jean is a bus driver in the industrial region of Liège. Every morning, he picks up factory workers from the suburbs and takes them to the plant, while dreaming of becoming his own boss and owning his own truck. He is engaged to Nicole, who works as a sales assistant in a department store, but he does not see her often because their free time rarely coincides. An opportunity seems to arise at an advertising contest that Nicole enters, where Jean meets Devos, the salesman who sold Nicole the furniture she won in the contest. Devos sells him an old truck on credit, which Jean will have to pay off by working for him for a few months.
