Two strangers team up to rob a famous department store to seek revenge and solve their financial problems before Christmas.
The story
Just before Christmas, two strangers, Sophia and Nick, team up to rob one of London's most famous department stores both to seek revenge on the owner and overcome financial difficulties. Sophia, who works two jobs to care for her cancer-ridden mother, is caught on camera by Nick, a contractor who recently served time for being framed by the store's owner. Nick uses the footage to pressure Sophia into helping him rob the store's secure locker. When their initial attempt fails, they set their sights on a specific high-value safe to fund Sophia's mother's treatment.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Sophia works at a department store and a pub, stealing small items to fund her mother's cancer treatment. She is caught on camera by Nick, a man framed by the store's owner, Maxwell Sterling. Nick pressures her into helping him rob the store's safe. After an initial failure, they target a safe containing £500,000. They attempt to get a key fob from Sterling's wife, Cynthia, who joins their plan. On Christmas Eve, they break into Sterling's office; Sophia's DNA opens a secondary lock, revealing she is Sterling's disowned daughter. They are confronted by a guard but expose Sterling's insurance scams. Sterling is arrested as Cynthia's scheme to take over the company succeeds. Nick and Eddie are cleared, and Sophia and Nick begin a relationship while their financial struggles are resolved.
