The story
In a universe where Earth and other planets are used by alien royalty to harvest resources for a life-extending serum, a woman named Jupiter Jones lives a modest life as a housekeeper in Chicago. Her life is upended when she is targeted by extraterrestrial 'Keepers' during a medical procedure. She is rescued by Caine Wise, an interplanetary warrior who reveals that her destiny extends far beyond Earth. As they flee from enemies, Jupiter learns that she is of royal lineage and is the rightful owner of the Earth, thrusting her into a dangerous struggle against the powerful House of Abrasax to claim her inheritance.

Earth is a resource colony for alien royalty who use its organisms to create a youth serum. Following the death of the matriarch of the House of Abrasax, her children—Balem, Kalique, and Titus—vye for control of the empire. Jupiter Jones, a housekeeper in Chicago, is targeted by 'Keepers' and rescued by Caine Wise, a soldier who reveals her status as galactic royalty. She is genetically identical to the late matriarch and is the rightful owner of Earth. Caine takes her to the capital planet, Orous, to claim her title. However, she is intercepted by Kalique and later by Titus, who intends to marry her, kill her, and seize Earth for himself. After being rescued by Caine and a companion, Jupiter is forced to confront Balem at his refinery in the Great Red Spot. She refuses to hand over Earth in exchange for her family's safety. During a confrontation, she defeats Balem, and her family is rescued by the intergalactic police. Jupiter remains on Earth as its secret owner, while Caine's rank is restored.
