A desperate rescue mission on a remote island leads a group of survivors into a deadly confrontation with prehistoric predators.

The story

Paleontologist Alan Grant is approached by a wealthy couple, Paul and Amanda Kirby, who offer to fund his research in exchange for a guided aerial tour of the remote Isla Sorna. The couple claims they have permission to fly there, but they are secretly seeking their missing son and Amanda's boyfriend. When their plane is forced down on the island, the group must navigate a treacherous landscape filled with dangerous prehistoric creatures. Alan, his assistant Billy, and the Kirbys' associates must contend with the elements and the predatory dinosaurs roaming the island to find the missing pair before it is too late.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Paleontologist Alan Grant is hired by a wealthy couple, Paul and Amanda Kirby, to lead a tour of Isla Sorna to find their missing son, Eric, and Amanda's boyfriend, Ben. After their plane crashes on the island, the group is hunted by a Spinosaurus and a pack of Velociraptors. They discover the InGen compound and find Ben's body. Alan is separated from the group but is saved by Eric, who has been hiding in a supply truck. The group eventually discovers that Billy, Alan's assistant, stole Velociraptor eggs, which provoked the raptors' aggression. During a frantic escape through a Pteranodon aviary, Billy is seemingly lost. The group eventually reaches the coast and is rescued by the U.S. military. They find an injured Billy and see the Pteranodons flying freely as they depart the island.
