Simultaneously, a U.S. Senate committee debates the fate of the island's dinosaurs as a volcanic eruption looms. Claire Dearing forms the Dinosaur Protection Group to save the animals, and she recruits Owen Grady to help her locate the last surviving Velociraptor, Blue. As the volcano begins to erupt, the group faces a desperate race against time to rescue the dinosaurs from the island and transport them to safety, while discovering the ulterior motives of those seeking to exploit them.
