The story

The film opens with a priest presiding over a funeral for Annabelle Fitzwilliam Carslow attended by four relatives in mourning. After the procession, her daughter-in-law Stephanie asks the priest if she can stay behind to say a few words to the deceased; she is dragged against her will into the casket upon announcing she hopes her mother-in-law will rot in hell. College students Vivia, Jennifer, and Phoebe decide to pledge a sorority at their university, Briggs College.
