Two investigators are sent to Pakistan to dismantle a narcotics-smuggling gang after its violence reaches an American victim.
The story
The Red Tigers gang smuggles narcotics from Afghanistan over the Khyber Pass into Pakistan, with shipments sent onward to destinations including the United States. The gang murders anyone who obstructs its operation, among them American Lesley Stevens. To break up the organization, Captain Tom Rowland and Commissioner X are dispatched to Pakistan. They receive three contact addresses: Jacky Clay, Stevens’s secretary; Superintendent Ali; and Mr. Khan. Before the investigators arrive, Khan is killed, apparently in a tiger attack. Their first clues point toward American mobsters Frank Stefani, Bosco, and Paradiso, who have fled to Pakistan.
