A Berlin school class’s disappointing Croatia trip takes an unexpected turn when several students set out to find their favorite rapper.
The story
A 12th-grade class from a Berlin secondary school heads to Croatia for a graduation trip, but their accommodation is an eco-hotel with no electricity after 6 p.m. and only one power outlet per room. The students’ hoped-for beach holiday and parties seem to be slipping away, especially for McLarry, the only student in the class to fail his Abitur exams, who hoped the trip would distract him. When they discover that McLarry’s favorite rapper, Zeno, is also in Croatia, McLarry and several classmates decide to seek him out and show him their own songs.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The 12th-grade class from a Berlin secondary school goes on a graduation trip to Croatia. But the trip doesn’t get off to the start they had all imagined. Their accommodation is an eco-hotel where there is no electricity after 6 p.m. and only one power outlet per room. For the students, this is an absolute nightmare—and above all, it isn’t Instagram-worthy. The beach holiday and all the parties they had hoped for seem to be evaporating. This is a particular problem for McLarry, since he is the only student in the class who failed his Abitur exams, and he had hoped the class trip would give him a little distraction. When they learn that McLarry’s favorite rapper, Zeno, is also in Croatia, it seems like the perfect opportunity for the students to show the musician their own songs. So McLarry, Bella, Alena, Cornelius, and Georg split off from the rest of the group and set off for Zeno’s villa.
