The story
Po is told by Master Shifu that he must become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, requiring him to find a successor to take his place as the Dragon Warrior. While struggling to choose the right candidate, Po encounters a fox bandit named Zhen. They eventually team up to confront The Chameleon, a powerful sorceress who can shape-shift and steal the kung fu skills of others. The duo travels to Juniper City to stop her, while Po's fathers secretly follow them to ensure his safety as they face a threat that has emerged from the Spirit Realm.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After Shifu tasks Po with finding a successor to the Dragon Warrior title, Po encounters a fox bandit named Zhen. They team up to stop The Chameleon, a sorceress who can shape-shift and steal kung fu skills. During their journey to Juniper City, they are joined by Po's fathers. The Chameleon uses a staff to steal the skills of deceased masters, including Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and General Kai. After a series of betrayals and battles, including a fight against a Chimera and a shape-shifting version of Po, the heroes eventually defeat The Chameleon. Po returns the stolen skills to their owners and ultimately chooses Zhen as his successor, training her to be the next Dragon Warrior.
