KZ9 - Lager di Sterminio (1977)

In 1943, a new group of female prisoners arrives at the Ronshausen concentration camp, including the Jewish women Dr. Prik and Cristina. The camp’s purpose is to provide the commandant, Dr. Wieker, and his sadistic officers with human subjects for various experiments: organ transplants; the resuscitation of frostbitten airmen by prostitutes; the re-education of homosexuals; and tests of the effectiveness of toxic gases in dissolving vital organs. All of this is done at the prisoners’ expense; even apart from the laboratories, they are exploited and tormented in every way. The Jewish Dr. Meiser is forced to work in the scientific laboratory, and Prik is assigned to him. Cristina, meanwhile, is tormented by the female kapo, who wants to force her into same-sex relations. In love, Meiser and Prik attempt an unsuccessful escape. They are caught and hanged. After the execution, as the Soviet guns thunder ever closer, Wieker carries out a general massacre of prisoners and Germans to prevent them from testifying to the atrocities that have taken place.
