A Parisian woman skeptical of country life finds herself drawn to a grumpy farmer while weighing her future with her fiancé.

The story

Lili and her fiancé Eric, a Parisian couple prejudiced against country life, travel to southwestern France for Eric’s brother’s wedding. During the celebration, Lili is bored until she catches the eye of Luc, a local farmer and single father. They do not expect to meet again, but circumstances leave Lili living alone opposite Luc’s farm. Their opposing temperaments—Lili’s assumptions about rural life and Luc’s gruff manner—do not stop them from being drawn together. As Lili begins to question the quality of her relationship with Eric and confronts her attraction to her neighbor, she must adjust to her new surroundings and consider what she wants.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Lili and her fiancé Eric are a Parisian couple full of prejudice against country life. Nevertheless, they spend the weekend in southwestern France for Eric’s brother’s wedding. During the celebration, Lili is bored stiff until she catches the eye of Luc, a local farmer and single father. It’s love at first sight, but they don’t imagine they’ll see each other again. However, circumstances intervene and force Lili to live alone opposite Luc’s farm. Although Lili is riddled with prejudices and Luc is rather grumpy, the two young people are inevitably drawn to each other. And however hard Lili tries to resist, she eventually admits that her relationship with Eric isn’t all that perfect—and, more than that, that while she may not enjoy country life, her neighbor is rather attractive. She will therefore have to adapt to this new life and choose between Eric and Luc. Luc and Lili keep bickering; how far can their relationship go?
