A mute, traumatized boy’s drawings may connect a forest murder to the legends of Merlin.
The story
A young girl discovers a man's charred body in the forest of Brocéliande. Éric Jourdain and Marie Delorme, a couple on the verge of breaking up, are assigned to investigate. The girl tells the gendarmes that a boy showed her the body, but when they find him, he is in shock and unable to speak. He can draw, and his pictures resemble local legends associated with Merlin the Enchanter. Marie’s brother, Romain, a child psychiatrist, comes to help the gendarmerie as they try to determine who the victim and the boy are, and whether the boy is connected to the murder.
