Full plot (contains spoilers)
Sixty-year-old Carlo Salvi knows his life is hanging by a thread because of a heart condition. In fact, he is not at all worried about his own life, but about that of his son Marco, a disabled young man in his twenties who cannot manage on his own. Carlo cannot find anyone trustworthy to care for him. Almost miraculously, the solution to his problem comes in the form of Monica, a young woman who, without asking for anything, decides to stay by Marco’s side. When the end comes for Carlo, he at least knows that his son will not be left alone.
