The story
Thelma Carrez is a single mother whose job at a cosmetics company consumes much of her attention. While walking with her son Louis, she takes another work-related call, frustrating him. Louis walks away with his skateboard and is struck by a vehicle. Taken to hospital in serious condition, he leaves Thelma searching through his belongings, where she discovers a journal he calls his “book of wonders.” It contains things he hopes to do in the future. Determined to connect with her son during this crisis, Thelma decides to undertake those experiences herself, hoping he can share them through her.

Thelma Carrez (Alexandra Lamy) is a single mother who is obsessed with her job at a cosmetics company. One day, while out walking with her son Louis, she gets yet another work-related phone call. This exasperates Louis, who walks away with his skateboard. Those few seconds of inattention are enough for Louis to be hit by a vehicle. He is taken to the hospital in serious condition. Thelma then finds among her son's belongings a journal he calls his “book of wonders,” filled with things he would like to do in the future. Thelma decides to do those things herself so that he can experience them through her.
