These visions begin to bleed into her reality, leading Ellie to adopt Sandie's style and lifestyle. Full plot (contains spoilers)
Eloise "Ellie" Turner, a teenager with troubled mental health, moves to London to study fashion. She is haunted by visions of Sandie, a glamorous woman from the 1960s. After a series of dreams where she sees Sandie's life and struggles, Ellie begins to emulate Sandie's look and lifestyle. She becomes haunted by apparitions of men who exploited Sandie, specifically a man named Jack. Believing she must avenge Sandie, Ellie tracks down a man she believes is Jack, only to discover he was an undercover officer. She then moves into a bedsit owned by Ms. Collins, who is revealed to be the original Sandie. Ms. Collins had killed her abusers and hidden their bodies, and she attempts to silence Ellie. A fire breaks out during a struggle, and Ellie eventually realizes that Sandie's 'visions' were actually memories of her own survival. The film ends with Ellie succeeding in her career while Sandie's spirit appears in a mirror, acknowledging their shared fate.
