When a pregnant student faces expulsion, her classmates unite to take the principal and two teachers hostage.
The story
Gilles has concluded that his average of six out of twenty in mathematics and philosophy makes passing the baccalaureate unlikely, so he sees little reason to worry about the exams. Meanwhile, Béatrice, a young woman living alone with her mother, is pregnant. When the principal becomes aware of the scandal, he decides to expel her. Her fellow students rally against the decision, seeking to prevent him from carrying it out. Their protest escalates into a plan that brings the principal and the two teachers into the students’ custody.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Gilles (Vincent Vallier) has done the math: with an average of 6 out of 20 in both math (Darry Cowl) and philosophy (Claude Jade), there is no point worrying any longer about passing his baccalaureate. Young Béatrice (Fanny Bastien), who lives alone with her mother (Dany Carrel), is pregnant. The principal (Michel Galabru), opening his eyes to the scandal, decides to expel Béa. The students unite to stop him from carrying out his plan and hold him captive along with the philosophy and math teachers. Unaware of it, the principal, the math teacher, and the philosophy teacher will become the students’ hostages and pay the price for their lack of understanding.
